Last Tuesday, my dad had a court case in Oakland, so he took the afternoon off to come play with us! Because it was a beautiful day, we went to Santa Cruz to enjoy the sunshine on the beach. I haven't been to the boardwalk since I was young, so it was exciting to see it all again with adult eyes. Unfortunately, the boardwalk rides were closed (I wanted to take Jude on some!) but we still had a great time at the beach. Jude--our water baby--had a blast playing in the cold ocean and walking up and down the sand. We ate giant ice creams and then walked up and down the wharf, enjoyed fresh calamari and clam chowder. Super awesome day!
