Well, I am definitely behind. So very very behind. Turns out running and business and having three kids takes up all your time. Who knew?! But I definitely want to get back on the family blog and try to do weekly Sunday updates since I am not working during that time. Hopefully I will make it haha.
In September, Eleanor turned three!! She's such a fun little princess. She can be the most stubborn thing ever but we still love her. On her actual birthday we went for our first mother-daughter pedicure date! She was definitely a little nervous but absolutely loved it. It may become a birthday tradition!
Traditional early morning present opening!
Princess Elena!!
Wearing our birthday outfits! Eleanor got a cute new Mae with unicorns and requested I wear my "Princess Aurora birthday cake" leggings.
nervous but excited!
To celebrate the next week we had a princess party at our house. This was the first birthday party we've ever done here so I'm very glad it went great! Ellie was very shy and nervous the whole time so she just hung on my leg the entire party. But she seemed to still have a good time!
I decided to outsource the cake this year. I knew I could make something myself but I also know that I love to make elaborate desserts and I frankly have no time ever for anything extra hah. So I found this local cake pop lady on instagram and seriously, these were amazing! She showed me some pictures from pinterest of her ideas and I was like "yeah okay" assuming they wouldn't look much like it... but they looked BETTER.
Just gorgeous and delicious.
My goal with all parties is to keep it simple. The princess punch was Ellie and Jude's favorite part.
Making wands and crowns.
Picked out a party dress...because mom hadn't done laundry haha
Here's a little bit about Eleanor at age 3:
-still obsessed with princesses! Now loves Elena and the live action Cinderella.
-potty trained but not really hah. It took FOREVER to convince her to just sit on the potty but we finally made it over the hill just after she turned 3. She's got half of it figured out... still hoping the other half will sort itself...
-stubborn as ever. I just flat out give up most of the time and let her just scream it out.
-loves "her baby" (Lucy) and tries really hard to be a good sister.
-plays with imagination a lot. She loves to make up little stories with her toys. She also has playdates with imaginary Belle frequently.
-eats practically nothing. I have no idea how she is alive some days.
-is very into the concept of girl vs boy. She likes to categorize things into girl and boy things. I tell her boys and girls can do whatever they want but she's very insistent on whatever it is that's determined is just for girls (usually it's things like eating ice cream or running in races).
-loves to play with her big brother most of the time. Also fights and tackles him. It's such a love-hate relationship with those two haha.
-loves to help mom hang up clothes and play "pop up."
-Overall, she's our sweet and spicy little girl! Ellie is a one of a kind little princess.
