So every year I tell myself I am going to send out an awesome Christmas card. I gaze longingly at the beautiful, double-sided card stock cards I receive, with clearly professionally shot photography. And then I realize due to budget and time constraints, that my card will once again be cheap photo paper and an awkward picture we asked the neighbor to snap. I wanted so badly for this year to get my fancy card, where I could tell you all about our wonderful achievements this year in a humble-bragging way, but I also needed to be practical and not pay an arm and a leg to achieve that. So I opted for cheap photo paper again, but at least, I did get pro pictures thanks to my fabulous sister in law, Michelle (mhanson photography).
BUT then I realized I could put the address to our blog on the card and hopefully someone would take the time to check it out and see my Christmas message here!
Also, important side note to those who've never read this blog before and have found yourself here from my card. I did NOT put my blog address on there to stir up readership or get advertising money. I have no ads on my blog and it's not at all about view numbers, nor do I have any desire of going viral. I write this blog as my own journal, for my children's future enjoyment, and for the friends and family that live near and far but like to stay in touch. So please do not think that I'm using my Christmas card to sell you something! And please feel free come back and see what our family is up to all year long!
And now without further adieu, my classically cheesy Christmas card message.
Peter finished his first year working for Brightroll, a video advertising company, as a software engineer. Very recently, his company was bought by Yahoo, and he's accepted a job offer to continue his work there. Peter has continued his love of hammocks and barefoot running, and is very excited to finally have his own workbench to create new projects on.
Linda still stays home full time with the kids. She loves being able to focus her efforts on them and getting to see every milestone they reach. Linda's favorite hobbies are decorating her new home and trying to craft and sew as much as possible. She also (by some miracle) took up running and is training for her first half marathon.
Jude loves trains more than anything in world. He turned three this year and had the Thomas the train birthday party toddler dreams are made of. He also learned to ride a balance bike and loves to paint and draw his own maps and train tracks. Jude has really grown into his little personality and has a big imagination. He likes being a big brother (most of the time) and is very happy that his sister can now start playing with him.
Eleanor turned one this year and she is the cutest little girl. Ellie loves to smile and give hugs and kisses; she's our little ray of sunshine. She loves dolls, stickers, and anything sweet. Ellie especially loves "Frozen" and would wear her Elsa dress every day if she could. She loves her big brother, even when sharing doesn't work out so great.
Overall, We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful blessings this year and all the Lord has given us. We are especially grateful this Christmas season for the gift of our Savior and His life and example. We hope 2015 brings your family happiness and peace!
Love, the Hamilton Family
