Jude says

Now that Jude talks, I'm starting to get those random and hilarious kid sayings. Here are some of my recent favorites:
Jude's ready to go to church and show off his sweet train tat

One afternoon Jude was climbing up and down and all over our tall kitchen barstools. After telling him several times to stop, I finally lost my patience and said very sternly, "Jude! Stop doing that or you are going to crack your head open!" Jude thought about this for a moment, and then replied, "I want my head stay closed."
His train tracks now go everywhere in the house!

Jude recently got a new haircut that's easy for me to actually style. Jude loves getting his hair done in the morning and will randomly obsess about it during the day. One morning we were driving to the store over some bumpy road and Jude throws his hands on top of his head and yells, "Don't bounce my hair!" Once we got to the store it was a little breezy and he did the same thing, "Don't blow my hair!"

Passed out...Sunday naptime.

One day Jude spilled goldfish all over the couch, and then, of course, proceeded to crush them into little bits. When I saw what he was doing he exclaimed,
"Mom! I made a mess on the couch!"
"I can see that. Why did you do that?"
"Because YOU clean it!"
Thanks kid for the reminder...

A few months ago I took Jude and Ellie to the Santa Barbara Zoo with some of their Hamilton cousins. (We love, love, love this zoo. It's perfect for little kids!) As you may know, they have a little train that takes you around the zoo, which naturally, Jude loves to go on. So at the end of the trip, we all rode the train. Jude insisted on riding with Grandma (surprise). He was so excited about being on a train that he didn't really seem to notice the animals. So finally, Grandma says to Jude, "Look, Jude! There are lions!" Jude thinks about this for a moment, and then says very, very excitedly, "THE LIONS SEE THE TRAIN! THE LIONS SEE THE TRAIN!" Everything is relative, I guess.

  1. He is a great talker. I especially love the picture of him riding on the train with grandma :)
