Grandma's House

Last week, Jude and I went down to visit my parents. Sadly, a family friend passed away, so I wanted to come to Thousand Oaks for the memorial services. The funeral really was a beautiful service celebrating the life of a great woman, bearing testimony of the eternal nature of families. Despite the sad reason for the visit, I really enjoyed being able to spend time with my family, and Jude had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa.

Jude loved to go outside to walk around. He met the giant dog, Jack, and actually got along really well with him. He laughed whenever the dog ran around and jumped at the window. He also tried to throw the dog a ball... when he wasn't trying to eat it himself. Jude also liked to play in Jack's water bowl. (Gross.)

At the Ronald Reagan Library. We went to go see the special Disney exhibit. Very cool, I highly recommend it!

Jude was Grandpa's best friend. There were times when he didn't even want me!

We also got to spend Halloween with my family. As you probably know, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween. I made my mom get out all the old Halloween decorations from when I was growing up, we carved pumpkins, and took Jude trick or treating! It was really neat to take Jude to go see old neighbors I grew up with. Jude actually really liked walking around and seeing all the kids, even though he didn't get the whole candy concept. He mostly liked to touch people's pumpkins and try to sneak inside their houses when they opened the door. Overall, it was a very successful and cute Halloween!

Winnie the Pooh! Sooooo cute!

Out trick or treating!

I'm pretty proud of my pumpkins. I got a lot of compliments on them!

Unfortunately, our trip ended with a very, very bad bout of the stomach flu and we had to extend our visit a few days... Still, it was amazingly fun to go see the old hometown and visit with the grandparents.

Gotta check out what's going on outside at all times...

And now, it's almost time for Thanksgiving! I LOVE the fall!

  1. Love the Pooh pictures! He is so cute. Sorry about you getting sick, especially the stomach flu. That is the worst!
