The Honeymooners

After our wonderful wedding we went on our honeymoon to Playa del Carmen, Mexico! This was the first time I have ever left the country so it was way exciting. We stayed at a very nice all-inclusive resort on the beach. It was so beautiful and warm; I loved swimming in the ocean! We spent all day eating way too much food, drinking virgin pina coladas by the pool, and relaxing in the waves. Peter took me sailing, we went kayaking, and even made a fruit bowl.

We also got the chance to take a tour of Tulum, an ancient Mayan city. It was so ridiculously hot there, but it was really neat. It was really neat to see a place where the Nephites might have lived. We took lots of pictures of the ruins and even haggled for a Mexican blanket.

The honeymoon was wonderful; too bad it had to end. So we came home to CA. Unfortunately, that's when the sickness caught up with us... we spent the next several days in extreme pain from probably the Mexican water. But despite the disease we had to drive up to Utah for classes the following Sunday. It seemed horrific at the time, but we survived.
