Easter

I know this is a week late, but still, happy Easter everyone! I hope it was great!

We spent Easter down south with our families. We were lucky and got to see both! Jude and his cousin Will had an egg "hunt" in Grandma's backyard, followed by an amazing brunch (courtesy of Trader Joe's haha). After church we had a big traditional dinner with my family. I'm really glad we got to come visit for a quick weekend; it was really fun.

Putting eggs in his "basket"

Turns out Jude was pretty good at finding eggs. Most were just laying on the ground, but a few were in the bushes. He liked these the most.

Taking a break to examine the drain. "what's this?!"

Jude is nto too sure about WIll yet...

The best shot we could get of them both together

Another new favorite activity: pushing down sprinkler heads

New Easter outfit! It was very hard to get him to sit still for this...

Above all this Easter, I am very grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that it is only through His loving atonement that we are able to repent from our mistakes. Just as He rose from the tomb on the third day, we too shall be resurrected. Easter reminds me of the amazing comfort of knowing that the grave is not the end and that families are eternal.
"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead; yet shall he live" (John 11:25)
"But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ." (Mosiah 16:8)

Peter's thoughts:
Especially in this time of discord and conflict, I think of what He did for each and every one of us. When we feel discouraged or saddened by a particular trial we can remember these words:

"If thou art accused with all manner of false accusations; if thine enemies fall upon thee...And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into he hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee...if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know that...that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good. The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?" (D&C 122:6-8)

Our Savior has done so very much for each and every one of us and I am so grateful for this time of year to remember that. I'm grateful for Him and that through Him my family can be together forever.
