Celebrations

The past few weekends have been jam-packed with fun activities! Both sets of grandparents came to visit us and help celebrate Jude's birthday! We used this as an excuse to explore San Francisco (twice) and eat lots of good food. Here are some of the highlights:

First, Grandpa and Grandma Hamilton came to visit us!
We checked out the beautiful Standford University campus.

And frolicked in its many fountains...

Then, we went to the city

I was amazed; it was actually sunny! I've never been to SF when it's actually nice outside

Exploring old WWII tunnels

WWII gun turret

Then, the next weekend, Grandpa and Grandma Langlois came to visit! We did all the traditional birthday activities: eating (or in Jude's case, smashing) cake and opening presents. We also went to the SF Aquarium and enjoyed Pier 39.

Opening presents!

Jude got lots of musical toys.
Like the annoying ones parents want to take the batteries out of...

1st birthday cake!

The chocolate cake I made for the rest of us. Seriously, the best. cake. ever. I can't take credit for the recipe, though. I found it here!

Fish tanks!

Touch pools for Jude are more of splash pools

Riding the over-priced carousel at Pier 39! It played Christmas music for some reason.
