Life Lately

So... I feel bad because I hardly ever post here. And its not like I have much of an excuse... I spend 50% of my day watching TV on the couch... So my new goal to post at least once a week! We'll see how it goes.

Life lately has been settling into a routine. We LOVE our new apartment, our new ward, and our new city. We haven't done much exploring yet, but hopefully we will go check out SF and other neat stuff soon. Here is what we have been up to:

Peter: Goes to work and programs stuff (that's about as tech savvy as I get). He loves his job and his co-workers and I think if the company likes him, he could be working for them for awhile. Peter has started riding his bike to work (about 5 miles), which allows him to have interesting experiences, such as last week when he tried to stop a shopping cart on fire.

Linda: staying at home, trying to put together this apartment and keep Jude from climbing into the bathtub. I've been working on my sewing skills and have made several headbands and two cute skirts. I'm looking to challenge myself to do more crafty things that I've always wanted to try. Basically, pinterest is my best friend.

Jude: (the cutest one and the one who's probably doing the most interesting things) started CRAWLING and STANDING UP. Jude constantly moves back and forth across the living room, chasing toys, smudging up the window/TV, and trying to unplug the router. Plus, since I usually sit on the floor to play with him, he absolutely has to crawl over me everywhere he goes. Its both cute and annoying...
Jude also loves to stick out his tongue, especially when he is excited about something

Jude has also started eating more solid foods, which is awesome. He really loves strawberries, cantaloupe, bread, crackers, and yogurt drops.

Jude does this thing where when he gets really excited he stretches out his limbs and goes super stiff, literally shaking with excitement. Things Jude will go stiff with happiness over: his sippy cup, aquariums, books, mirrors, the pool, and the bathtub. Jude's new favorite places are the bathroom (he likes to throw all the shampoo bottles into the tub), the new play area in his room, the pool, and right behind doors (so he can play with the springy door stopper).

Jude puts his face in the water a lot...

Jude is slowly becoming a bit of a toddler terror, but he is still so adorable. I LOVE watching him grow and get excited over things. He has the biggest blue eyes that everyone comments on. Its kinda fun to be in a place where there are not a ton of children, like in Utah. Lots of people stop to talk to him, which he loves because he loves people.

Overall, things are going well here in CA and I'm excited to see what happens the rest of the summer!
